Meet Rhona Parsons
Welcome! A little about me...
My journey in the fitness and yoga world began in 1996, while I was still working in corporate administration and human resources. After 25 years in that environment, I realized I was no longer fulfilled. I had always told my employees that if they walked into work one day and didn’t want to be there, it was time to move on. That day eventually came for me — and I chose to follow my true calling: helping others find balance, strength, and vitality through movement.


Since then, I have become a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider, as well as a recognized trainer with provincial fitness organizations across British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — presenter, entrepreneur, author, life coach, fitness instructor, and personal trainer — but at the core of everything I do is a passion for empowering people to live well in both body and mind.
I continue to host successful international yoga retreats, where I coach participants through my signature programs: The Art of B.A.L.A.N.C.E. and The Mind Body Reboot Camp. In 2015, I created Antaraka Yoga (a Pilates-infused yoga practice) and bodyFIT Beyond The Scale, a six-week transformational program. These programs have since been taught to and shared by dedicated instructors around the world.


As a published and best-selling author, my work includes contributing to the international bestseller Shine 2, as well as publishing several books of my own: 21 Ways To Bring Balance Into Your Life, Balance Yoga for Parkinson’s Disease and Other Movement Disorders, bodyFIT Beyond The Scale (which reached #1 bestseller on Amazon), and most recently, 90 Days of Inspired Living.
Today, I am proud to be the creator of The Core Pilates Method, an internationally recognized program accredited by the PMA Teacher Training Accreditation for Pilates (ITTAP). This method blends Joseph Pilates’ original philosophy with modern anatomical science, setting a new standard for safety, accessibility, and effectiveness in Pilates education. Over the past two decades, I’ve certified and mentored hundreds of instructors worldwide, many of whom now inspire others through their own teaching.


Beyond the studio, I am a devoted mother to three beautiful daughters and Nana to eight amazing grandchildren. Balancing my passion for my career with my love for family is what grounds me — and it’s this balance that I strive to share with every student, teacher, and client I work with.
